Undergraduate Student Services
School of Business
I have been serving as the Faculty/Staff Advisor for ABLE since 2008. During this time, I've been a fixture at the weekly e-board meetings providing input on programs, events, and activities as needed. I am truly impressed by the incredible students who make up the executive board. Their commitment and dedication has enabled the club to grow with each passing school year. In April 2012, I was honored to receive the Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award during the annual President's Awards for Leadership Ceremony. In addition to supporting ABLE, I also an one of the two Academic Advisors in the School of Business. (along with the Director of Undergraduate Student Services, Susan Maloney).
Dual Major in Accounting and Financial Market Regulation
If you had told me my freshman year where I’d be today, I never would have believed you. Joining ABLE freshman year put me on a path toward success by opening up a world of opportunities. Through countless professional workshops, networking events and receiving valuable mentorship, ABLE has helped me learn and grow into the person I am today. On top of all that, I’ve been able to make so many amazing friends and memories that I’ll never forget. After serving as an Intern, Fundraising President and Vice President, I am so excited to serve you now as President. I look forward to making ABLE a bigger part of your life, your journey and who you are. I am ecstatic to see what amazing experiences we embark on together, as not only an organization but as an ABLE family.
Digital Forensics with a minor in Business
I first discovered ABLE during my Freshman year and have been a dedicated member ever since. My first event with ABLE was the New York City trip where I got to interact with the E-Board, they were so welcoming and enthusiastic about ABLE that it inspired me to apply for an E-Board position later in my college career. During my Sophomore year I applied for Secretary, and now I am the proud Vice President.
As Vice President, I am determined to push ABLE to new boundaries and grow our great organization to better suit the members, whom without we wouldn't exist. With newly developed workshops and hands-on experience, I want to provide members with real skills they can utilize and help them to become the next generation of innovative and revolutionizing leaders.
Dual Major in Actuarial and Mathematical Sciences; and Business Economics
I started off my freshman year as a mathematics major, and I didn’t really know what to do with it. I found ABLE my first spring semester and fell in love right away. I was an intern my first and second semesters in ABLE, and then I decided to apply for the Secretary position on the executive board my Sophomore year. The skills that ABLE can teach you are invaluable no matter what profession you decide to go into. Through this amazing organization, I was able to decide that I wanted to have a second major in business. The skills and connections aren’t the only thing that ABLE has given me; the friendships I have made and the experiences will last a lifetime. The important thing to remember is that you get out what you put in. The work I put into ABLE has multiplied into what it has given me.
Financial Analyst Honors and Financial Market Regulation
Much like many other first year students when I came to UAlbany I knew I wanted to get involved but I didn’t know what opportunities were available to me. I soon learned about ABLE and decided to go check out a social event. At this event my good friend and I learned about all of what ABLE had to offer and it was just what we were looking for as freshmen. I soon became friends with the other members and executive board and then eventually took part in the ABLE internship program. This allowed me to get the opportunity for an executive board position the following semester. I can honestly say that ABLE has put me steps ahead of my peers and has grown me in more ways than I could imagine.
Director of Affairs
Communications and Business Administration Major with Concentrations in Finance and Management
Unlike many of the other Executive Board members, I didn’t join ABLE until my junior year. I decided to apply for a position as an intern and soon after became the Director of Affairs. Being a part of this organization has already been rewarding in many ways. In a short period of time, ABLE has taught me the necessary skills needed to be successful in the professional world and it has also led me to meet a great group of people. ABLE gives you opportunities to network and challenge yourself to be open to new experiences. I can confidently say that joining ABLE was one of the best decisions I have made in my college career, and the only regret I have is not joining sooner.
REAL LEADERS ARE NOT BORN
Community Service President
Business Administration with Concentrations in Finance and Management
After attending the ABLE informational my freshman year, I immediately knew I wanted to be a part of it, and I have been a proud member ever since! The people on E-Board were so warm and inviting that I decided to give the intern position a shot. After working as an intern my first semester, I was sure I wanted to continue to grow with this club, so I applied for E-Board. I now hold the Community Service President position and it has been an amazing experience so far. ABLE gave me a home away from home, and I want to continue to do that for future members.
Business Administration with Concentrations in Marketing and Management with a Minor in Psychology
I joined ABLE the first semester of my freshman year, and I quickly realized how much this club had to offer. After attending weekly meetings and several events, and seeing how welcoming the E-Board was, I knew that I wanted to apply for an E-Board position during my sophomore year. I am so glad that I was given this opportunity because I want to offer others the amazing experience that ABLE provides. I think that one of the best parts of our club is that there is a professional side where we can learn how to assist in our future careers and make connections with others, as well as a social side where we can bond with our fellow club members. I am really looking forward to planning exciting events, and to working with all of our members. ABLE has truly taught me a lot, and I’m thankful for all the people that I have been introduced to.
Financial Analyst Honors
I joined ABLE because I immediately wanted to become apart of something productive on campus. It just so happens that this club would be the place that enabled me to build myself as a full time student while preparing me for the professional world. After consistently attending meetings and events my entire freshman year I decided to go out for a position as an intern and then later Events Coordinator. I could not be more proud to be able to be apart of and represent such a hard working body of students and I'm very excited to see what the future holds in store for the club.
Business Administration with Concentrations in Finance and IT
Starting at UAlbany I knew I wanted to be a part of clubs but I didn’t know what business clubs the school had to offer. I saw ABLE for my first time at the Block Party. After talking to the people there I was excited to go to the informational and learn about what ABLE could do for me. During my first semester of freshman year, one of the e-board members encouraged me to apply to be an intern when I was hesitant. I got the position and that lead me to become closer with the e-board and other interns. After my intern position, I knew that I wanted a bigger part in ABLE leading me to apply to be a part of the e-board. ABLE has already helped me in my business career and made me great friends that I never would have met without being a part of the ABLE Family.

As a Freshman coming into Albany, I knew I wanted to find a club that would help me to grow and improve upon my social and professional skills. I was immediately attracted to ABLE the moment I heard about it because of all the opportunities available to me. I wanted to become more involved so I applied to be an intern during my first semester. In my second semester I moved into my position as Fundraising President. As a newer member of the E-Board, I am so excited to continue to grow and learn with my ABLE family.
